LOS ANGELES - ZA BÁSNÍKY, POEZIE V MEGACITY!!

V Los Angeles za POEZIÍ!!

 

Behem tri tydnu jsem byla pozvána na pět čtení, která se konala na různých skutečně úžasných místech...  Tím chci dokázat, že poezie žije i ve městě, které je determinováno Hollywoodem, filmovým prumyslem a silným bysnesem. Musíte jít hodne hluboko, pod planetu Hollywood, abyste nasli básniky, poezii, a pak se az udivíte, jak to v takovém megacity vre poezii, a zcela uprimnou! Oblíbené jsou rovněž Comedy Shows, Standup Comedy, což je také často zabavné a ne hloupé, jde o sebeironii, což ne každý je schopný, Američané jsou v sebeironii celkem dost dobří... američtí Číňani mají vtipy ze života Číňanů, černoši ze života černochů, "běloši" mají také své... na místě během 10 minut musíte bavit, nenudit... určitě bych to chtěla zkusit!! I v angličtine...

Protestní Manifest Básníků jsem četla česky poprvé v Praze, v Klubu Chicago v řijnu 2012, zda část ze čteni: 

Protestní Manifest básníků, psaný s Topalantem anglicky a španělsky, jsem přeložila do češtiny a němčiny, zde je v angličtine. Mottem manifestu je slogan: Básníci, spisovatelé, umělci nespěte - vyjádřete se! Upadli jsme do spánku, jsem BEATEN GENERATION. PEACE-ANTINUCLEAR-MANIFESTO, napsaný anglicky prezentuji zde v Německu, před atomovou elektrárnou v Brokdorfu, kde jsem v roce 2012 na jaře strávila stipendijní pobyt v bývalém domě Güntera Grasse, který svůj dům poskytl Berlínským autorům. Stipendium Alfréda Döblina jsem získala od Akademie der Künste, která stipendium uděluje. Zde je videoManifest:

MÍSTA.....TREASURES. Jedním takovým pokladem v Los Angeles, a široko daleko je dnes již historická kulturní instituce Beyond Baroque  ve Venice Beach, která začala svoji tradici již v 70. letech, nejdříve to byl literární magazín s Beat Generation, a pak se magazín přesunul sem, do původní cityhall, a 1979 se zde usadili a začali pořádat čtení. Co je pro nás Evropany současnosti, je pro Američany historie, jako toto místo... Zde jsem četla dvakrát mimojiné v Ellyn Maybe Poetry Show. Viz dole fotka.

Každý den se tu pořádají zadarmo workshopy pro poezii, prozu, nonfiction, open readings. Toto místo má neuvěřitelnou sílu....  

Mimojiné Ellyn studovala v Praze, a mela to tam velmi rada, chce se tam vrátit. Svoji tvorbu venovala rovněž v Praze.

Zmíním jeden večer "Waiting for Jack..." všichni tito básníci a autoři byli s ním spojeni:  míní se tím. Jack Kerouc, všichni ho milují... je smutné, že zemřel tak mládej, 47 let!!  

 Zde na akci bítníků.... ještě hodně básníků žije touto "generací" a jsou jimi i básnicky ovlivněny, až to škodí samotné poezii, která se neposouvá dopředu, ale žije minulostí... je na tom něco romantického, ale zároveň musíme jít dál.... 

 Allen Ginsberg zde vedle dalších bítníků četl, miloval tohle místo. "A great place, a treasure."

 A zde jsem dostala v Radiu Hortus v Praze, od pana Srpa, který radio už úspěšně několik let vede brožuru od A. Gisbergovi v Praze... 1965 byl zvolen Králem Majálesu. Osobně jsem A.G. potkala dvakrát na čtení v Praze a v Olomouci během svých studentských let... Zde fotky od Jiriho Stivína:

Dále jsem četla již dvakrát v Santa Monice v Rapp Saloon, rovněž historické místo, dnes je tento Saloon místem kultury, u océnu a pláže, kde kdysi byla radnice.

Také jsem četla na vyjímečném místě The Last Bookstore, nádherné obrovské knihkupectvi s malou "stage" pro hudbu a literaturu, která zde má skoro každý den své místo mohu absolutně potvrdit trvzení, že to je jedno z nejkrásnějších knihkupectví na světě. Nachází se v Downtown.  Zde Sean Hill, já, Antonieta Villamil a Mark... A dalsim centrem je LEIMERT PARK, kdysi black-ghetto, je stále víceméne hodne cernosske, ale je zcela otevren vsem.... Zde jsem byla s performerem Seanem Hillem, zde na videu...

Poté jsem byla pozvána vietnamsko-americkou básnirkou Teresa Mei Chuc, jejiz poezii jednou prelozim do cestiny, jak moc se mi jeji poezie libi. Nyni jsem měla tu čest číst v Central Library v Pasadena, je to město v Los Angeles County. --- Fotky a další komentáře k těmto místům brzy zveřejnim na svém America-Blogu či je můžete vidět na FB pod Milena Oda Literatura.

která je určena českým a německým básníkům, myslím jedna skutečně důležitá cena pro vzájemné literární porozumnění, což je pro mě stále velmi důležité. - jeho poezii - 9 básní - jsem přeložila do češtiny, poezii Renatus Deckers, rovnez, ktery byl take nominovan, jsem potěšena touto zprávou z mé Evropy...

Vysoce vyvolaná touha po dálkách

nipkow rozděluje své rodiče na linie, řádky, body, vsadí světlo

do drátu, dál staví přístroj na morseovku. třicet řádků

odťukává rodičům, točící se kotouč. vánoce

1883. obočí vysoko nadzvižené vyvstává

z obličeje. nos, ústa, brada se nachyluje, padá do obrazu

příjemce přitahuje stín v bodech. rodiče

sedí na kotouči smutných hran oči krouží

nebudou nasyceny barvami. zadání, úkol skrývá

mezery v rytmu běžící osy, oči vtahují

nalomení stínu. portréty rostou, dohasínají v obličeji

nipkowa. jejich stav pomate jeho pohled. nipkow

zkracuje vzdálenosti, když kotouč zaznamená jeho duhovky.

Back to Los Angeles! 

My goal was to discover Los Angeles from ist cultural side!! And I understood that immediatly, if you want to discover this side, you must go under the surface of the Hollywood planet.... dig deep and you will discover some treasures, as I did.

I was fortunate and invited to some readings. 

That I was reading so many times is just a proof of the evidence that the poetry lives also in such a megacity like Los Angeles, that is determined by Hollywood, movie industry and other big Business of the world´s Format.

During three weeks I could read my poetry, written in English. From my novel written in German, but now being translated into English and our "Poets Protest Manifesto" and our "Peace Manifesto". All you can see and read here, see the links-.

I liked it, and the destiny wanted that I publish in that newspaper, I appreciate. You can find it verywhere, in the galleries in Downtown of L.A. in Art District.

 I was invited and I discovered such an amazing cultural place like: Beyond Baroque in Venice Beach. This is an exceptional place for poets, writers, actors, started in the 60s with the literary magazine with the name Beyond Baroque, and then they moved in this house 1979, which was a former city hall, and the poetry and literature with the all poets of the Beat Generation found their place where to present their work.

The place is dedicated to Literature and Poetry, to the BEAT GENERATION. One of the greatest dedications is to Allen Ginsberg.  And Jack Kerouac. Here are some photos from Jiri Stivin as Allen Ginsberg was in the Czechoslowakia, he was named: KING OF MAJALES. King of freedom...  Allen Ginsberg loved Czechoslowakia (I think), and he came back when I was just student, so I had the luck to meet him twice reading his poem HOWL in from of us Students... and other poems... He made on me such a big impression, that I started to read more American Literature, the Beat Generation, there started my love to America:::::   I read here twice... I am sure I will read here again and again. Here I liked Ellyn Maybe Poetry Show, The Ellyn Maybe Band performs as well as improvises behind open readers, 5 minute limit and other Open-Mike reading.

Further I was invited by Elena Secota in Santa Monica in Rapp Saloon, also a historical place, a former townhall from the begin of the 20th century. Elena makes a pleasant evening, she invites Young & Old poets, Young & Old musician to delight the sense of the listeners. She makes it with passion for the poetry. Just because she loves to do it. Every third week she makes it happen for 10-20 people who come a cultural and sensual night!

And absolute amazing was a discovery of the The Last Bookstore,  I would say this is one of the most beautiful bookstores I have even seen. Maybe in the world! This is a must to see, in Downtown of L.A. A Show hosts MikeThePoet Sonksen.  Here: Poet Sean Hill, me, Poets Antonieta Vilamill and Mark from the Revolutionary Poets Brigade.  

On saturday, 24th of Nov. I was invited by the Poet Teresa Mei Chuc, who I really appreciate to read in the Central Library in Pasadena, city in Los Angeles County, from my novel in German: "Nennen Sie mich Diener", in English translated by Steph Morris, the excerpt of this novel: "Please Call Me Servant" you can read here, at the International Writer´s Program of the Iowa Unviersity:

Last but not at least is The Leimert Park, the former Black Ghetto with this cultural place, I was there with my friend, - Poet-Performer Sean Hill.
